Thanks so much to everyone for all the information on my obituary/death certificate search! I did request a death certificate both from the state and the county to no avail. The year was 1913. One person sent a suggestion to check with the Dennison LIbrary as they have an obituary card file which dates back to the 1880's. I called the library and they will call me back in the next few days. Another person sent the website for the Univ. of Texas Library which shows the newspapers available on microfilm.
