I just received a copy of a patent for the University Land in Grayson for William Morris and on the attached document it says that Wm & J. J. Morris, obligation. - so although registered to William, JJ was also involved. Does anyone know anything about these two men? Then from the land description - East Quarter of Section No 10 in University League No 42 and then the further description of the land as "situated in Grayson County on the waters of Big Mineral about 17 miles N61ºW of Sherman" From this -- and the very tiny patent map I have of Grayson -- looks like it would be in either Pottsboro or Beavers.
