Macomb was the birthplace of my mother, Vera Porter, in 1900, and her brother, Earl.. One of her brothers, Ralph, said that he was born in Whitesboro. Addiebelle Senter Porter, a step-sister to Martha Jane Senter Kiersey, lived with her husband, Will Porter, in Grayson for a short time enroute from Alvarado in Johnson County to Tulia in Swisher County. I did not find any Porters listed, so I'm assuming that the family arrived in Grayson County because of M.J. Kiersey. Is there a 1900 Census Record for Macomb in Grayson County? The Indian signs on the canyon were created by my five lively uncles, according to their earlier stories.
