Yes, Sally is a nickname for Sarah. My grand mother was alwasy called Sallie Virginia Popham, it was years before I found she was actually Sarah Virginia (Popham) Gibson. Gibson was her married name. It was her mother, Susannah, that was a Williams and related to the Blairs. Another nick name is SADIE as I had an Aunt that was Sarah and they all called her Sadie. I first saw her name as Sarah by her dau and also in SSDI.Always knew her as Sadie.
