Hi Amy - I don't know if there was more than one Richardson family in Grayson Co. in the 1880s or not, but I have wondered why my Richardsons left a successful ranching life in CA and moved to Grayson. The earliest Richardson I have is gr-gr-grandfather Henry, born 1817 in OH. My gr-grandmother was born in 1844 in MO. They came to CA in 1848, and stayed there until Henry, his wife and several of their grown childrn moved to TX in 1878. Henry died there in 1880. His children were: Eugene B. (1839), John Cuddeback (1875), Caroline B. WORTH (1846), Sophronia Orcelia GRAHAM (1844), Henry S. (1848), George F. (1849), Sarah Ann CHASE (1850), Harriet (1852), Lydia ADAMS (1856), Charles (1859), Isabel (HISER), Lee (1864), James Hendrich (?) or James C. (?) (There are some names which I am not certain whether or not they were his children). However, those who were named in his will as residing in TX were Lee, Charles, James C., Isabelle. I wonder if my Henry went to Grayson Co. because he had other family living there? Lorrell
