    3. My Grayson County Ancestors who arrived in 1859 from Wilson County, Tennessee, are: Hamilton DOUGLAS, Sr and wife, Mary A. (GILL) Douglas. (later lived in Collin County) Children (* denotes those whose descendants remained in Grayson County): *John Gill DOUGLAS b. 18 Apr 1832 Virginia d. 14 Jul 1897 married Ann Elizabeth HORN 22 Mar 1865 *Sarah J. DOUGLAS b. 1836 d. before 1859 married Thomas Calhoun FORBIS 27 Jul 1855 Mary DOUGLAS b. 1839 Tennessee *Elijah Houston DOUGLAS b. 8 Apr 1849 Tenn. d. 19 May 1888 married Amanda Ann WILSON 13 Jan 1864 Hamilton DOUGLAS, Jr. b. 11 Apr 1843 Tenn. d. 20 Oct 1907 Hunt Co married Nancy A. STEWART 15 Oct 1868 Josephine DOUGLAS b. 1845 Tennessee *Raleigh White DOUGLAS b. 22 Mar 1847 Tenn. d. 13 Nov 1920 in Sherman married Charles Emma LEWIS 12 Mar 1872 =========================== James S. HANNA b. 1848 Arkansas son of Ebenezer HANNA and Martha_____ (both b. Kentucky) married Caledonia "Donia" FORBIS 21 Dec 1874 in Grayson Co., Texas Rev. Asbury Cartwright performed the ceremony. Donia was the daughter of the above Sarah J. DOUGLAS & Thomas C. FORBIS. She was raised by her grandparents, Hamilton, Sr., and Mary A. Douglas. James and Donia HANNA lived in the northern part of the county near the Fannin County border. Their children were: Sarah J. HANNA b. 1876 married Benjamin H. BOOTH William HANNA b. 1878 Jesse G. HANNA b. 1885 Child Hanna b. 1893 and died of scarlet fever in 1895. Mary Gill DOUGLAS died at Howe, Grayson Co., Texas, and her Will was probated in Grayson Co. with James S. HANNA as Adminstrator. She is buried at Hackberry/Douglas Cemetery near Howe. Her son, Elijah H. DOUGLAS is also buried there along with his family and his wife's relatives, the WILSONs. Her sons, John G. and Raleigh W., are buried in Van Alstyne cemetery., and her son, Hamilton, Jr., is buried in East Mount Cemetery, Greenville, Hunt Co., Texas.
