Searching for info on the descendants of Joseph W. WALKER who brought his children from LA to Sherman in about 1861-62 and died shortly thereafter. His children: Robert WALKER shown on 1870 Grayson Co. census as age 28, occupation farmer with wife Annie B., age 29, and daughter Mary age 1. Hugh WALKER, living with Robert, occupation laborer Emma WALKER, living with Robert Fannie WALKER, living with Robert Emma WALKER married Thomas BALFOUR and had a daughter Zephie. Fannie WALKER married Augustus B. STALNAKER who first shows up on the 1880 Grayson Co. census. He was a groceryman who came from SC. His brother Sebron Julius STALNAKER also came to Grayson Co.
