    1. [GRAYSON] Baptist Church of Christ
    2. I thought I would post this Fannin County query here too, perhaps like my ancestors some of yours were in Fannin County at one time. Another question I have is not in the message below concerns the Baptist Church and Church of Christ. Were those churches ever connected? If so, when and why did they separate? Below is what I posted to the Fannin County List: I have a copy of church records that mention a person, Brother Wm. Cate. He may be my uncle. The date of the entry is August 21, 1897. Before this one, an entry dated June 26, 1897, mentions Fannin County. My questions are: 1. Does anyone have information about "The Baptist Church of Christ at Rehobeth?" 2. Was the Church of Christ originally attached to the Baptist Church? 3. Where is Rehobeth? My great grandfather, Riley CATES, lived in Orangeville, Fannin, TX from 1886 to about 1900. After that he moved to Whitewright, Grayson, TX. He had an older brother William. They were born in Tennessee, Riley moved to Texas early 1886, after his marriage to Callie Watson in Tennessee. His brother William may have moved here with him, or before, or even after. Any information about the church, the town or even William CATE or CATES is welcomed. Does anyone have the phone number to the museum in Bonham, TX? Thanks, David L. CATES
