I am looking for any connections to the Massey Family . My mother was born in Bonham Co. in 1904. The family lived around Fannin and Collin Counties. . Also any information on the Stalcups and possibly Coffeys as I heard my grandmother speak of the Coffeys and the Stalcups were related to us. Thanks, Donna Harvey Stealey. bigjon@mbo.net

Hi, Researching Jolliff, Honea, Bohannan, Caruthers, Brown, Casey to name a few. These families came to Grayson and Fannin Counties via TN, AR, IL; most either stayed in Gryson Co. or went to Bryan Co. OK. Gail Gray
I am researching my husband's ancestors BOYD, EUSTACE, & ANDREWS. William Hamilton BOYD and his wife Isabella Frances EUSTACE came to Grayson in 1875 in a wagon from MO. They camped about 8 miles outside of Sherman next to the Andrews' homestead. Eventually two of the Boyd girls, Mary Jane (Jennie) and Caroline Edna (Carrie) married Eugene Rollin Andrews and Samuel Varney Andrews, respectively. The two families lived in and around Sherman for several years before some of them moved farther west (to Big Spring, Howard Co., TX). Some remained in Grayson Co. According to one source, Isabella's father John Eustace Jr., died in Van Alstyne. Some Andrews descendants still live in Sherman, and we would love to make contact with them. Donna S. Boyd momdsb@summit.net Culpeper, VA

Am researching the following families: Almarine Marshall Alexander m. Josephone Bonaparte King, both from KY to Sherman in the 1840's. Children were: John Martin Alexander m. Kate Goff Sophia Martha Alexander m. William James Morphy Victoria Alexander m. William W. Walker Josephine married John M. Cummins after Almarine died in 1865. Almarine was an early merchant in Sherman with a business on the square; building still stands. Thanks, Melba Alexander Russell
Hi Gay, I knew Mary & George Holland very well and called them Grandma & Grandpa. Their son is my Uncle, I have been very close to him since a little girl. I just sat down with him last Friday & wrote down information concerning his family because he has been diagnosed with Cancer. He is a very private man. I have always called him Papa, my best friend & I grew up with him & my aunt in Grand Prairie. I loved his mother and dad, they were the sweetest people I have ever met. I was just looking at pictures I took of them at Christmas in 1970 , one year before George Sr died. Mary ,George and the other daughters are buried at Preston Bend. Do you have any other information on Mary's parents? He told me his mothers mother's maiden name was Mullins and their are several Mullins buried in Preston Bend. How are you related? Be sure to let me know so that I can tell him about you. My mother's sister, Millie Parks- Holland is married to my Uncle George. He taught me how to drive, read, swim , read the Bible, etc. He is a great man! I look forward in hearing from you!
