    3. Not yet, the new Whitesboro Genealogical Society is doing that reading , it is a large cemetery and they are splitting up the sections. It is called OakWood ( not to confuse it with OakWood in Denison) The Sherman library has an old reading of that cemetery you can write them a query. susan > >Is the Whitesboro Cemetery online yet? 3. Hello Maxine, I am not familiar with the land transactions you mention. However, my husband's grandparents, James William and Mattie (Jay) Wall, were married in Howe. Two of their babies are buried in the Chambersville Cemetery. His parens, Thomas N. and Julia (Cook) Wall, are buried in the Van Alstyne cemetery, as are many of their other relatives. >From about 1893 to 1900 they resided in Indian Territory of Oklahoma, before it became a state. Three children were born in a cave there. 1. Genealogy Radio Program
    2. To All--- "Eye on the Internet" an hour-long program (which airs daily on KRLD/1080 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area)is planning several segments related to family history and the internet. The show has already scheduled interviews with the Rootsweb people and with an author who used the 'net to research his family history book. Program host Katie Pruitt is now looking for research sites that have helped you locate overseas ancestors, and for stories about how you may have used the internet to track ancestors or cousins outside the United States. You can write Katie at [email protected], or you can access the "Eye on the Internet" site through www.krld.com. (She will also use some of your suggestions as her featured "Site of the Night".) As I understand it, the family history segments will air over several nights later this month. Best, Rusty Williams

    3. RE: Denton, Grayson, Cooke, etc. were part of Fannin County during the Republic of Texas. Several months ago, I found a site listing military rolls for the Republic of Texas period. I lost it, and finally wrote to the Archives asking about it. Donaly E. Brice, Reference Archivist, was nice enought to find the site for me, even though it is not on the Texas State Archives and Libary page. I am grateful to him for his help. I will submit the muster rolls as proof for establishing a supplementary line for DRT in the name of Isaac Huston/Houston. I hope any of you interested in the Republic period will visit the following site. Mr. Brice sent me the index cards showing Isaac Houston/Huston on Mark Roberts roll. The Maxey family was one of the first in the Republic in Fannin County. http://www.mindspring.com/~dmaxey/home.htm (This site is the home page Index to MILITARY ROLLS of the REPUBLIC of TEXAS: 1835 - 1845) http://www.mindspring.com/~dmaxey/rep_indx.htm (goes to an index) Diana White

    3. Hall is the cemetery for Farmington.Akers is near also to the north and Elmont to the south. It is not online yet.You would have to contact the Sherman library for that cemetery. susan PS I saw Mike Cross busily adding info from old obits to cemetery records yesterday.
