My mother-in-law was a Hermesmeyer. They lived in the Groom area. Carson county does border Gray county. Also there are some Hermesmeyer ties in Donley county, which is also a bordering county. None of the names you mentioned sound famaliar to me, but I will ask her about them. Good luck.
