And those are some of her siblings. What I don't know but would like to find out is who Bernard's (which is also the B J you had it stands for Bernard John) parents and family are. The other names you listed I didn't recognize but would like to find out if they are connected. I know Bernard didn't live too long in Gray Co. because from what I've been told he would buy houses - fix them up and then sell them and the family would then move on to the next one. My mother-in-law was born their - Nell Marie b. 29 March 1929. She was the oldest of 6 children. Her parents were the Bernard and Beatrice I mentioned before. My mother-in-law was a Hermesmeyer. They lived in the Groom area. Carson county does border Gray county. Also there are some Hermesmeyer ties in Donley county, which is also a bordering county. None of the names you mentioned sound famaliar to me, but I will ask her about them. Good luck.

His father, James "Jack" Lee McClellan, was the brother to the Sam McClellan that probably died in 1979. They also had a sister named Hattie. Their mother was Sarah "Granny" Mitchem, but I don't know what their father's name was. I remember Granny real well, she was a character & LOVED to play 42, which she would cheat at every chance she got. Her son Jack would get so mad at her. lol Jack was born April, 1899 in Comanche, OK & died April, 1971, in McLean. As far as I remember, there is only one cemetary in McLean.

The Birth General Records list 4 children of B. J. or Bernard and Beatrice Hermesmeyer: Bernard Paul, born 10-23-1927; B., born 3/29/1931; and Bernadette Gertrude and Bernadine Genevieve, born 5-19-1938. I have looked in Pampa city directories during the 1930s, and did not find a Bernard Hermesmeyer--so, he lived elsewhere in Gray County than Pampa. Another database is the Birth Summary Records, from 1950 on. This lists a Scott Hermesmeyer, born 8-9-1968; Shawn Anthony Hermesmeyer, born 2-26-1970; and Stephen Neal Hermesmeyer, born 2-12-1973. This database does not give the names of the parents. I looked in the Pampa city directories, and did find a William E. Hermesmeyer, residing in Lefors, working for Cabot, in the 1970 city directory. He might be the father of some of these 3 people. He does not appear in the 1972 or 1973 directories, however. The Marriage Records database for 1966 to 1997 lists a Phillip E. Hermesmeyer, aged 41, married Geraldine Duncan, aged 52, on 4/28/1972. I do not find him in Pampa ciry directories for 1972 or 1973. Finally, the Death Records database lists a James William Hermesmeyer, d2/1/1990. I will get his obit, if I can find it, and see whether he ties in with any of the others in Gray County.

In the Office of the District Court Clerk, I find that they divorced in September 1966. I have the plaintiff's petition and the divorce decree from that record, and will send it to you if you like.

Father Waymon Eddie Bond. Mother: Loyce Ann Jacobs. That the index entry was found indicates, maybe, that he was not adopted. Back then, when adoption occured, the original birth certificate was deleted by the court, and a new one issued with the adoptive parents' names. Then, the index entry was blackened out. Or so I have heard, anyway.

Arkansas. Wife Dot had body removed to McLean, Gray Co., Lamb Funeral Home, I assume for burial there. Dot probably also traveled to and settled in McLean. She died there in August 1985. I believe the Lamb Funeral Home (above) is now Lamb Ferguson Funeral Home. I have been unsuccessful obtaining information from the funeral home. My questions: I'm looking for an obituary for Dot McEachern. I don't know her maiden name but I suspect that she may have been from Gray County prior to marriage to Archie. I'm looking for burial information on both Archie and Dot. I'm looking for marriage information on Archie and Dot. I know that Gray County Marriage Records, 1902-1928 were published by Boyd Publishing Company, Milledgeville, GA. I'm hoping someone has that publication and can check it for me. Lana, According to Texas State Library and Archives, Fletta Mae Wyatt died 5-27-1998 in Potter co. Was unable to find marriage or divorce for John and Fletta. Archives only show marriage for John and 2nd wife, Sandra Doylene Hawthorne 7-29-1968, Gray co. A rchives also show Fletta Mae Ruttman married Tom Curry Wyatt, 8-9-1968 in Hutchinson co. John was my father in law I was married to his son Charles who is deceased, John and Fletta were married possibly in 1963 in Pampa, Gray County I believe John Died May 7, 1999 in Gray County and Fletta died mabey at Amarillo but is buried in the cemetery in Pampa possibly in May or June 1998. At the time of her death Fletta was known as Fletta Wyatt.
