Father: Waymon Eddie Bond. Mother Loyce Ann Jacobs. The fact that the record could be read and was not crossed out may indicate that the child was not given up for adoption, at least in the state of Texas. I think that at that time the practice was for the court to seal the original birth certificate, and to issue a new one indicating that the child had been born to his adoptive parents. The birth index books occasionally have entries crossed out by heavy ink, and these may refer to adopted children. But I could be wrong.

I do not know whether any people of that name ever lived there. No people with those spellings are buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery of McLean. There is a Vester McClain, who died in October 1983 and is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery. However, he moved to McLean from Tulsa in 1960.
