    1. [TXGEN] New word for the day

    3. My new word for the day: inurnment. Some of you have probably heard of this before, but this is my first encounter. So for those of you that are as "behind" in the times as I am, here is what I found for the meaning of inurnment. Inurnment - the process of placing cremated remains in an urn. The urn can be placed either above the ground in a niche, or below ground in a grave. Inurnment is distinctive from interment, which involves burial. Inurnment Service - the action of putting the cremains of the deceased into a columbarium. Ok, so then I had to look up columbarium. This is, in essence, a mausoleum exclusively used for placement of the cremains of one who is deceased. After all these years of genealogy, I have learned too many new things. All the things I can no longer remember were pushed out of my brain to make room for what is important now....genealogy. Age has nothing to do with it. That's my story and I am sticking to it!
