I have not been following this thread too closely but I have had all kinds of problems with files or directories with spaces in the file or directory name. I always use an underscore and I have cemetery marker photos in subdirectories for each of the cemeteries (each in their own directory) in Navarro county and that all works... If the problem directories have spaces, Id replace it with an underscore and update your links. Should work fine.
