Congratulations to Bexar County and Jimmy Epperson. Kudos also to the Honorable Mention counties, Bowie, Limestone, Shelby and Webb. Do we have a great State Project or what? The Bexar County website offers some very interesting records including several files on the Alamo (of course). Besides the history of the mission, there is a full list of defenders (those who died and those who survived) in 1836, hand drawings of the Alamo in 1836 & 1854 as well as a picture of the Alamo today. In the Records department, Jimmy has added scanned copies of Declarations of Intent to Become U.S. Citizen filed with the court in Bexar County. And the Newspaper clippings and articles make for some interesting reading. Take a trip to Bexar County by visiting the website at http://txbexar.eppygen.org/ Honorable Mention counties for August are Bowie, Limestone, Shelby, & Webb. These websites are also excellent and provide lots of information for researchers. Congratulations to Bexar County & Jimmy, and to the CC's of the Honorable Mention counties. Jump on over to the TXGEN mail list ([email protected]) and say hi to Jimmy and the other CC's who make up the August honor roll. I also would like to thank the Surfing Committee for another job well done.
