    3. Teach Genealogy software in the ALL program. Recommend Legacy Family Tree, RootsMagic and The Master Genealogist. They are more robust packages than Family Tree Maker. The new 2009 is very sluggish and does weird things under the XP environment. 3. I purchased The Master Genealogist Gold several years ago and liked it. Regrettably, I never converted my data over from FTM. I guess I've just gotten comfortable with the FTM way of doing things. I'm probably several versions behind on my TMG and my old one may not work with Vista. 3. I'm really confused. I fired up my old computer and I had FTM 10 on it. Apparently you have to have a version at least 12 or higher to patch. But I ordered FTM 2008 and it's a completely different program. Does anyone know what I mean or have it? It's really hard to work with. It's missing some of the features, too. Is the Version 16 like the old FTM? (as in version 10) Vicki Joe D.
