My Tiners were also from GA and can't be found from 1850-1870 in Early/Baker Co, GA, though a reconstructed land deed in 1898 has William buying land in 1848 and this is the only reason we know his name. DNA proved this line isn't aliens, just good hiders from the government. All the kids from this line were named William, John, Benjamin and Lewis and they named their kids those names, and dang it, so are all the older ones we find so we can't figure out which W, J, B or L is the father, grandfather, etc. Too bad they didn't carry Nicholas' name on down. Lewis and William came to TX and left John, Ben and Ida in 1880. It wasn't until 2000 that we decendants of William Sr, found each other again, through the internet, and they found out what happened to those 2 boys (one being my ancestor). We can blame Sherman for not finding our much needed documentation in GA.
