I don't like the fact that these folks just have "Texas" on their menu line and the link goes to TXGenWeb. It gives the first impression that it is a TXGenWeb project to me.... If it wasn't a "tad" deceptive, then why don't they name the link correctly? I, for one, do not submit to any of these sites. I have told the USGenWeb Archives that they can copy anything I put on my website unless I show a submitter and then I ask that they would contact me or them first. If someone wants what I work so hard to make available to my counties (which is my primary responsibility), they can work a little to get it to their sites... I sound like a "hard headed" Texan that use to have red hair, don't I? Ha... And why can you not find a name anywhere for who "ownes" the site, or a name to call them when you contact them? And it is obviously so new they don't have any names in the database because when you search for Jones or Smith or any other name, it returns no results. So if it is that new, how can it have been copyrighted since 2003 yet contain no info? They don't know how to spell TXGenWeb either. LOL If we can't determine who has the site, then how do we know what will be done with the info we submit? Will it be sold in books, on cds, or be placed in some places database, such as Ancestry? They won't even give so much as an email address. No thanks. Think I will pass until they decided to at least give their info to the public. This site made me very suspicious.
