    3. You can handle it any way you want but don't miss the photos that are already online for your county at http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/cemph/sanaugusph.html The Texas Cemetery & Tombstone Photos Project is a great place to store photos and there is no current coordinator for San Augustine. You might contact Dorman Holub about taking over the page.http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txcounties.htm my idea: My new pages will have a table with thumbnails for the photos. I'll be trying my best to layout the table like the actual cemetery. Hovering the mouse over a thumbnail will create a small popup with the text from the stone. Clicking the thumbnail will take you to a full size image. I'll keep my transcriptions. It's a lot of work to convert the thousands of photos I already have but a new project would be easy to set up. I have totally redone the web pages for San Augustine County. Please take a look when you get a chance. I have been working on the missing links, etc and hope it is fixed now. I am getting a great response for help and have had lots of cemetery photos submitted. I would like any ideas on how to present them. Right now I am leaning towards making a photo folder and linking individual cemetery listing to the corresponding photo. Please give me your ideas. 3. I and one other lady have been photographing the sizeable cemetery of San Geronimo in Seguin. We are sending our photographs to the Guadalupe county coordinator, but I am also uploading them to www.findagrave.com. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gina Heffernan" <ginagaleh@yahoo.com> To: <txgen@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 17, 2009 12:15 PM Subject: Re: [TXGEN] Help with photos > You can handle it any way you want but don't miss the photos that are > already online for your county at > http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/cemph/sanaugusph.html > The Texas Cemetery & Tombstone Photos Project is a great place to store > photos and there is no current coordinator for San Augustine. 3. Thank you, I had no idea there were photos out there. Can I copy those photos for my pages or should I link to those or do I need to contact the submitter. I am not sure I could do what you plan. It would be great but I am new to this! I also think all of the people that dug graves in this county were following a snake or drunk, no graves are in-line! 3. It isn't hard to do - I uploaded a sample but this is a partial, is alphabetical and is linked to files on the Texas Tombstone Photo pages (I don't own the photos). The hardest part is deciding what color to make the page - unless you actually plot the cemetery and create a table to copy it. http://www.txrusk.com/cemeteryphotos/bane.htm You should get permission from the submitter before you copy anything but, if they say no, you can always link to the page. Don't let these folks kid ya, links to info are just as good as on-site data to a researcher and they'll appreciate that you provided the link.
