Does everyone see what these proposed changes will really do? The 2/3 majority was put into the original by-laws for a reason. Settling for anything less is just nuts. This looks like a case of "if we can't pass a rule under the current by-laws, let's just change the by-laws to suit us and do what we want." I, for one, will be voting against these proposals. I encourage others to do the same. Please go read this very closely for yourself: http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/notice.shtml Just my 2 cents... I suppose I am stereotyped as a "Lurker" what ever this means? My question is a reference to the current bylaw proposal, http://usgenweb.org/volunteers/notice.shtml , that is to be voted on by the membership. Why is this such an important change to the bylaws? Considering the many issues that have been focus of discussion concerning the USGenWeb, do you consider this proposal to be in the best interest of the membership or do you consider this proposal to be in the best interest of the governance of the USGenWeb, i.e. Advisory Board, State Coordinators, Special Projects, etc? Is it possible this proposal would enhance a quicker route to more issues or a quicker route to resolving more issues?
