    3. While surfing my assigned counties this month, I noticed on several counties that some CC's are not aware that the Texas Archives are not a part of TXGenWeb. The Texas Archives are a special project of the USGenWeb, and are completely separate from the TXGenWeb Project. They are not TXGenWeb Archives. The TXGenWeb Project has no archives. When the Texas Archives are presented on a county as TXGenWeb Archives, the patrons think it is a part of the TXGenWeb Project. This results in the complaints about broken/missing Archives links being sent to TXGenWeb instead of the Archives managers. We then have to try to explain the difference to the patrons (some of which never grasp the difference), and then direct them to the proper Archives manager/s. Please check your counties to be sure the Texas Archives is written as Texas Archives and NOT TXGenWeb Archives. Thanks for all you are doing in TXGenWeb! 3. Joe, it looks fine to me. It doesn't say TXGenWeb Archives, so it should not be misleading at all. But I am no authority on any of this. The Texas Archives vs TXGenWeb archives is what I was "taught" on one of the USGenWeb lists when I first came aboard the TXGenWeb Project. If it has changed, I am not aware of it. Elaine Joe D.
