If you think there wasn't much for 1891, then the 1878 one will reinforce your ideas that Texas was tough - almost 200 pages of villains - and those are just the ones reported, who weren't killed on the spot. There are 3 other books besides these two! Remember that Texas had lots of unrest and dissatisfaction after the civil war.
