    3. The Salem witch trials are more a tale of greed. There were those that had settled and prospered, then others that came along later or had not done as well.  The second group wanted the well-situated land of the first. Years later the young girls confessed that their original plan had been to get even with a third girl who "stole a boyfriend".  It was the father of one of them that hatched the idea of using the charges of witchcraft to acquire good fertile land.   Re, your co-worker:  It is fascinating the stories we learn of our ancestors.   Jo === Chahta Ohoyo Holahta, Honorary --- On Mon, 8/24/09, Tammy <owentk@gmail.com> wrote: From: Tammy <owentk@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [TXGEN] Executions Link To: txgen@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, August 24, 2009, 1:29 PM JO That's interesting I didn't my coworkers family tree and his ancestor was one of the judges at the witch trials On Sat, Aug 22, 2009 at 9:44 AM, Jo <bjcb@bellsouth.net> wrote: > I'm the 7th gr-grandaughter of Mary Towne Esty.
