Yes, it is getting a special place today! I'm putting the news story online although the stone hasn't been set yet & I don't have a picture of just the stone. So very proud of all volunteers who work tirelessly providing info., etc. for Grayson Co. But Lea has done an above & beyond work in saving this stone and we especially thank the road crew mgr who cared enough to lay it aside & mark it until someone could get there to get it. Thank you very much. I am quite proud of Lea Head for all the work she's done to get this tombstone where it belongs. She also has worked hard, researching his life. The picture I saw of that stone - it was in pristine condition. How long it had been buried there and why it was removed from the cemetery will probably be a mystery forever. What I think is so amazing and something I've never seen is the signature of the stone mason at the bottom of the tombstone. Thanks to volunteers like Lea for making history come to life.
