I finally registered for the conference and reserved a room. I couldn't get the hotel to answer their phone so I had to go through national booking. I probably won't get a room in the TXGenWeb block. Rob Yoder Tarrant County

Master Stone Carver....very interesting. Got this from Beverly Odom...thanks Beverly! http://agraveinterest.blogspot.com/
The date is rapidly approaching!! The schedule is almost complete and arrangements for the meals are in the works. In the afternoon, we are planning an "Ask the Experts" session to help answer specific questions or to help with specific problems you are having. So, please submit your questions NOW to Lela Evans <[email protected]> or Betsy Mills <[email protected]> so we can line up the "experts" to answer your questions. Right now, we plan to break into small groups and you will be able to go to the group where you want to hear the discussion. Also, we are asking that each person bring at least one item for a door prize. This seems to have become very popular as the chance to win a research book that you don't have has been really exciting. So bring books you are through with, or that book you bought and didn't find your ancestor in after all, or one you wrote, or something neat you have at your house that you keep thinking you should really give it to someone else because you don't need it. The TXGenWeb 16th Annual Conference will be held in Nacogdoches, TX, on April 5, 2014. We will have guest speakers, door prizes, and a great time. The presentations will be of interest to all CC's and everyone is invited to come join us. There will be research activities on Friday as well for those who can arrive early. Hotel reservations may be made by calling Comfort Suites @ <file:///C:/Users/Betsy/AppData/Local/Temp/tel:936-560-9900>936-560-9900 - be sure to mention TXGenWeb to get the conference rate of $69 per night. We will be using the conference room in this hotel for the meeting. See <http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-nacogdoches-texas-TXA63#listpos1>http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-nacogdoches-texas-TXA63#listpos1 for hotel information - just remember you will need to call them directly to get the reduced rate. I also have used Freefind along side of Pico Search on Tarrant County and like Free find better. FF will go into my PDF files and index them. Pico ignored the PDF files. I hit the top end of the free limit once. I told them about being a free, dirt poor genealogy website without advertising and they raised my limit, again for free. I have over 1,500 webpages now and counting. Most of my PDF files are multipage and FF counts them as one page each.
