The RW message boards are still down. I will check with the RW folks tomorrow about a time frame for functionality. You can get a free account with Ancestry to log into the pages you do want to see. They're changing a lot of the features to read-only. So, it isn't just the attack that has them down, they're re-working some of the pages. I find it extremely humorous that they spent so much time reassuring everyone that all the free sites they were acquiring would never change and they've made them all essentially useless or no longer free. Well, I get a "Page Not Found" page for all of my county message boards. I just hope they are still working on the problems. I can get to the page that let's me select the message boards, but then I get a sign-in page for Ancestry. Are the rootsweb pages no longer free? We're sorry, but the website is temporarily unavailable. We are undergoing maintenance to resolve some errors caused by the recent DDoS attack and mitigate future attacks of this sort. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, as this may interrupt the work you've been doing on the site over the next several days. We appreciate your patience and support as we deal with this unfortunate incident against Ancestry.
I am in need of help in updating a brochure that has been converted to Word from PDF. Shirley

The link below is a virtual wall of all those lost during the Vietnam war with the names, bio's and other information on our lost heroes. Those who remember that time frame, or perhaps lost friends or family can look them up on this site. First click on a state. When it opens, scroll down to the city and the names will appear. Then click on their names. It should show you a picture of the person, or a least their bio and medals, and it will give details of the death. http://www.virtualwall.org/iStates.htm
I think several are having this issue also. I believe Shirley is looking to find another chat room, if anyone knows of one let her know.
