It is best to stick with common fonts or make an image of something you created in a special font...such as the page logo...so that it doesn't display differently on other computers...and other browsers for that matters. Often the different versions of IE even don't treat a font the same. The Google web fonts are a good alternative but you still need to link the site to the Google font.     3. If it is a web-font you are fine. If it is not a web-font then you have to have paid for the right to upload the font and make it a web font.
