Welcome Robin! Brush up on your Two-Step, Do-Si-Do, Texas Waltz, moseying, and sauntering. We have to do all these things from time to time to get to this list. If you have any questions, this is the place to ask. We have a great bunch of CCs who always try to help when possible. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know I am very excited about this project. Just so you know a little about me.. I have been researching my own family since about 2002. I didnt get really serious until the last two years. Until recently I didnt even know there was so much stuff out there to help. However, once I started looking outside the box I became truly hooked. I am also a member of the Graveyard Rabbit Association which helps people locate family memebers and research information. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you. Please excuse me while I get acclaimated to the area. Robin R Inge "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away"

I am checking for March for Armstrong and Hidalgo Counties. I am on my wife's laptop since my own computer crashed 2 weeks ago. I replaced the power supply when I thought that was the problem [I heard a pop from the tower and thought it was the problem] I had the power supply checked and it had failed. The fans did not even work. I now feel certain the motherboard is fried...after checking with a tech friend at a computer store near us. I believe the CPU is ok. and believe the harddrives are ok as well, but will be checking them out. Once I get back online, I need to check out my sites,,,and correct as needed. This is hell when this happens Once I get back, I will get back to the sites to work on them Sincerely, Edward, Sr. [CC for Armstrong & Hidalgo Counties]
Well, it's not the fault of AWH. Only about 90% of the WWW in North America is working right now. There is a major Router out in Greenwood Colorado which is functioning at 0 (yes, Zero) right now. Thats the one that is failing to get signals in and out of AWH. So, there's not much AWH can do about it. We rarely but periodically can reach our sites because they are trying and we get a flicker of code through. There is also a major router out in Texas (they don't say where) and two (out of three) in Virginia are out. So, the "internet gods" are having a worse day than we are.... This is a reminder of our weekly chat session tonight at 8pm. For those of you who are new, this is a time when some of us get together for an informal chat. It might be a good time to get acquainted with others in the project. You are invited to drop in and introduce yourself. Topics vary, and might change from time-to-time. We talk about the project, genealogy, our web-sites, and sometimes the weather, our pets, grandchildren, etc. Everyone is invited. http://www.txgenweb.org/tx/chat/chat.html Cynthia Samples
Thanks, Scott and Larry. I've referred the fellow to the two sites you gave me. I'm just not the sort of person to go knocking on the doors of folks I don't know. Especially for something like that. The article was submitted by Harold Gold Davis of Wilmington, NC. It gives a website http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. I talked to Mr. Davis at least once and I believe our editor at the time talked to him several times getting the article ready to print. If this is the same man, I found him creditable in trying to reunite remains with the rightful family.
