I'm not sure of the total damage around Archer, Wichita and Wilbarger.  But I know that it was pretty bad yesterday.  Had to spend the evening, moving livestock and watching winds and fire movement.  The wind has died down some today.  Hoping all is well in your counties.  Going out to take photos of damage today.  Will post and send link   Robin R Inge "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away"     ________________________________ From: Martha Brown <pzzyb@yahoo.com> To: txgen@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, April 10, 2009 10:10:13 AM Subject: Re: [TXGEN] Wilbarger & Wilson Counties We have lost a bunch of homes to in Nueces County. 3. Have you ever gotten one of those "bloated" pdf files and wished you could convert it to something that had a smaller file size and loaded much faster? Wish no more. This is an online free service that will convert pdf files/images.....pdf to word, pdf to txt, pdf to image, pdf to html, and txt to pdf. Simply click browse beside the box and find the file you want to convert, then click convert & download. It will then convert it, put it in a zipped file, and you download it to the directory of your choice. Works like a charm. I converted a pdf image file that was 1,913 KB to a jpg that is 110 KB. HUGE difference in load time for the patrons! http://www.convertpdftoimage.com/ Happy converting! Elaine -- The nice thing about being senile is you can hide your own Easter eggs.

To get around the Free Find problem today, I've been using the Advanced search on Google http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en and limiting the search to only http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txfannin/ This doesn't help my users but at least I can find things myself! 3. Elaine, Thanks so much for putting out this link. I've seen a book with extract of this newspaper and some of the information is the only info I've seen on some of my family. I'm so glad to be able to see the original and have it online too. I know there was a project to get all newspapers online, with grants going out to those entities that could do it. This seems to be a part of that project. A wealth of information is coming our way through these older newspapers and I can't wait.
