Nothing had to been done. The double bypass done 16 months ago still looks great, However the 3rd artery that was 50% blocked then is still at that level and they don't do anything unless it is 75% blocked. I know many of you were off at the conference and are just now reading mail from several days ago, however, we have beaten this horse to death AND *stepped on some toes* in the process. Please read back through the correspondence to see what we were able to learn about the site before picking open some old scabs by repeating the concerns already expressed by those of us unable to attend the conference. Although the Texas version of the site had no actual photos, there are some active sites for other states. The whole project was started by some other GenWeb coordinators several years ago. This page shows what states have active sites: http://gpp.jlconsulting.com/index.php This page tells about how the project got started: http://gpp.jlconsulting.com/history.php I was an active participant in the previously critical conversation and would not like to encourage a repeat. I don't like the fact that these folks just have "Texas" on their menu line and the link goes to TXGenWeb. It gives the first impression that it is a TXGenWeb project to me.... If it wasn't a "tad" deceptive, then why don't they name the link correctly? I, for one, do not submit to any of these sites. I have told the USGenWeb Archives that they can copy anything I put on my website unless I show a submitter and then I ask that they would contact me or them first. If someone wants what I work so hard to make available to my counties (which is my primary responsibility), they can work a little to get it to their sites... I sound like a "hard headed" Texan that use to have red hair, don't I? Ha... Thanks to everyone, Jean and Jane, everyone else that helped on the conference and everyone who attended, it was really nice to get away from "IKE" for a day, and it really made me want to get to work on my web site. Thanks for all the help and suggestions from the other CC. In spite of the weather, it was a great conference. Everything was so well planed, and everything went so smooth. It did take me almost 3 hours to get back to Galveston, I saw several fender benders in Houston, and when I got on the South side of Houston, the weather was pretty bad all the way to Galveston. But it was all worth it. I'm looking forward to Waco. Thanks to everyone. Betty Dunquez **************Access 350+ FREE radio stations anytime from anywhere on the web. Get the Radio Toolbar! And why can you not find a name anywhere for who "ownes" the site, or a name to call them when you contact them? And it is obviously so new they don't have any names in the database because when you search for Jones or Smith or any other name, it returns no results. So if it is that new, how can it have been copyrighted since 2003 yet contain no info? They don't know how to spell TXGenWeb either. LOL If we can't determine who has the site, then how do we know what will be done with the info we submit? Will it be sold in books, on cds, or be placed in some places database, such as Ancestry? They won't even give so much as an email address. No thanks. Think I will pass until they decided to at least give their info to the public. This site made me very suspicious.
