I had that problem with over 6000 obits... what I did was have the obits in folders, A, B, C, etc... The obits had been named like this... Abb, Carl Earl. So I used the drag & drop method and from the thumb drive I got the obits on, I just uploaded them without putting anything in my county webpages files except a link to them... the comma's and spaces did not cause a problem doing it that way. Look here at the obit page on Houston County and see the link to Roy Smiths obituary files... click on the link and you will see the folder names, open a folder and you will see what I am saying... http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txhousto/obituaries.htm So you might want to make a link say: So & So's photo's of San Geranimo Cemetery.... then let them go look instead of making individual links for individual names from a page... There is a free program called Batch Thumbs. It will create thumbnails for all the selected files and/or rename them and/or copy them to another folder. I use it all the time. My biggest county is Upshur and so far I have over 24,000 cemetery pictures online with several thousand more waiting in the wings for me to get online.
