    3. I had that problem with over 6000 obits... what I did was have the obits in folders, A, B, C, etc... The obits had been named like this... Abb, Carl Earl. So I used the drag & drop method and from the thumb drive I got the obits on, I just uploaded them without putting anything in my county webpages files except a link to them... the comma's and spaces did not cause a problem doing it that way. Look here at the obit page on Houston County and see the link to Roy Smiths obituary files... click on the link and you will see the folder names, open a folder and you will see what I am saying... http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txhousto/obituaries.htm So you might want to make a link say: So & So's photo's of San Geranimo Cemetery.... then let them go look instead of making individual links for individual names from a page... Just a thought.... I have the same problem with pictures with spaces sent to me. I have two ladies taking pictures. One sends them the way I like it but the other sent over 1000 with the names having spaces. Right now the San Geronimo Cemetery has 3,119 pictures with links to them. I started with one file and when that got to big I broke it down to A-C etc. So far I have broken it down several times. 3. There is a free program called Batch Thumbs. It will create thumbnails for all the selected files and/or rename them and/or copy them to another folder. I use it all the time. My biggest county is Upshur and so far I have over 24,000 cemetery pictures online with several thousand more waiting in the wings for me to get online. I could not do it without Batch Thumbs for renaming them with no spaces. http://www.harmware.net/ Elaine Wanda Qualls wrote: > Does it take the spaces out. Congratulations to the coordinators, Betty Miller and Betty Phillips! With this being their third win, Van Zandt is now in the TXGenWeb Hall of Fame. Congrats on that honor as well! Some of the items of interest on the Van Zandt site are the Robinett & Scott Saloon Register of 1894, Early Van Zandt County Doctors and Medical Society Minutes, County Abstracts to 1941, The Free State of Van Zandt, Texas Muster Rolls 1835-1836, and Tunnel Harry. Please stop by and visit "The Bettys" and the friendly folks of Van Zandt here: http://www.txgenweb3.org/txvanzandt/ . Honorable Mention counties for the month are Austin, Burleson, Childress, Dallam, Duval, Kerr, Llano, and Tarrant. A big round of applause to those CC's as well! Kind Regards, Peggy T.
