Billie, That does sound like a good idea. I'll have to go ahead and do what I started on one of the cemeteries. All of the photo files say Waller Cemetery - number. So I'm having to open them up to see who they are and rename them without spaces and the hyphen. I might use this idea on the larger cemeteries. Thanks! The obits had been named like this... Abb, Carl Earl. So I used the drag & drop method and from the thumb drive I got the obits on, I just uploaded them without putting anything in my county webpages files except a link to them... the comma's and spaces did not cause a problem doing it that way. Look here at the obit page on Houston County and see the link to Roy Smiths obituary files... click on the link and you will see the folder names, open a folder and you will see what I am saying... http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txhousto/obituaries.htm So you might want to make a link say: So & So's photo's of San Geranimo Cemetery.... then let them go look instead of making individual links for individual names from a page... Just a thought.... You can format the batch rename to replace certain characters. I set mine up to replace the space with an underscore. Works great. I have the same problem with pictures with spaces sent to me. I have two ladies taking pictures. One sends them the way I like it but the other sent over 1000 with the names having spaces. Right now the San Geronimo Cemetery has 3,119 pictures with links to them. I started with one file and when that got to big I broke it down to A-C etc. So far I have broken it down several times. I have 16 files now with links to those pictures. To late I already have it this way and don't want to change the format now. I just need a program that will take the spaces out of the names. I am also adding information to the names and some of the pictures aren't that clear to see the dates. I have done all my cemeteries that way and people seem to like them that way.
