    2. I don't know how to recover the files. I found this link: http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=52 On my computer I found only one .pst file. c:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and it was called outlook.pst It wasn't very big, but then my daughter is the only one to use it. I suggest first going into the folder option on Windows Explorer, and under the View tab, making all files visible. Then do a search on you c: drive for anything that ends with .pst -- save the files to a thumb drive or burn them on a cd or dvd. Then you can experiment. 3. When I went with Windows Live many things happened but the most damaging was it removed my HP Photo Shop and Imaging Center. Since it was installed on my computer when purchased no way to reinstall it. Microsoft helped with ideas on how to solve them but didn't then about a year ago I got an email from then saying there were many problems with Windows Live and give them about a year to solve them and they would get back with me. Haven't hear from them yet. A technician and a computer specialists told me the same thing. Microsoft had not worked out the bugs, they wanted the users to report what all was wrong with it. 3. Joe, it looks fine to me. It doesn't say TXGenWeb Archives, so it should not be misleading at all. But I am no authority on any of this. The Texas Archives vs TXGenWeb archives is what I was "taught" on one of the USGenWeb lists when I first came aboard the TXGenWeb Project. If it has changed, I am not aware of it. Elaine Joe D. 3. What version of Outlook are you using? Are you getting an error or it does nothing? Many data corruption issues can be resolved with the inbox repair tool on the installation CD. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227 Joe -----Original Message----- From: txgen-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:txgen-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Terri Buster Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 3:47 PM To: TXGEN Subject: [TXGEN] Computer Question Does anyone on this list know how to recover emails from an outlook program that will not open?
