    3. Apparently you don't "figure out the server"...none of these are "our" server...this is the internet that passes all of our data from our server to the users computer that asked for our page. It's the combination of the whole that makes the difference. IF anything is wrong on that internet traffic report it could be influencing how your page loads regardless of where the server is located...but it makes more sense if it is in an area serving you...but they are all serving you in the long run. If something is wrong at Chicago's O'Hare Airport for several hours...flights are cancelled in San Francisco...same story with the internet. It's the health of the whole that makes the difference. The Internet Traffic Report gives you I picture of the health of the whole. This is a picture of the "Big Boys". If one of them is not working the whole internet (at least the North American section) may be showing the effects. One time several months back most of Texas was experiencing a major slow down and it was caused by a router in Nevada that was funtioning at Zero percent! That's when I learned about the "Internet Traffic Report" As for the problems the TXGenWeb is experiencing...I think part of that is something at Active Web Hosting that Darrell needs to figure out...but he could be having trouble with the diagnosis because of influence of that failure last night. From the looks of things right now, there have been no further problems with the internet as a whole and any current slowdown is back in Darrell's hands... 3. Last night, there was an internet router in Kansas functioning at about 66% capacity and another one in Onterio down to about 33%. The rest of the North American network was in the mid to high 90's for percentile of functioning. I didn't chime in to the discussion because I didn't see how Kansas and Onterio would be influencing Active Web Hosting. This morning, they are all up and running but the spike of packet loss and the dip in traffic index shows that the TXGenWeb was not alone in their problems last night. http://www.internettrafficreport.com/namerica.htm Suzie TXFannin On Tue, Jul 21, 2009 at 8:50 AM, Shirley Cullum <shirlcullum@sbcglobal.net>wrote: > Good Morning, Deb. > > Bloated code is code that has unnecessary and often duplicate instructions > in it. > > I have been dicussing the problem with Delbert and he has been checking on > it at the server end. 3. Good Morning, Deb.      Bloated code is code that has unnecessary and often duplicate instructions in it.   I have been dicussing the problem with Delbert and he has been checking on it at the server end. However, he hasn't found anything yet that I am aware of.  But then, I am firm believer in cyber-gremlins. <g>   I am happy to learn the sites are loading correctly but please feel free to contact me if the issue pops up again.     Shirley --- On Tue, 7/21/09, Deb <ontheroadagain_52389@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Deb <ontheroadagain_52389@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: [TXGEN] slow loading pgs To: txgen@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 1:00 AM Don't know what you mean by "bloated" ...? Normally I was using MS Visual Web Developer Express but whatever I would work on didn't come out looking like it was supposed to, so I have designed some of my pgs in MS Word.
