    3. I was trying to avoid CSS and use html only. I made the page for a local student association and they will have different folks maintaining the page since their officers change on a regular basis. If I stick with html only, then the chances are better that everyone will be able to handle keeping the site updated. I hand coded the links individually since I could not find any other option. Dreamweaver has the option to change each one individually, but I was using a template that was over riding the Dreamweaver option apparently, as it would not let me change the link color individually, and I could find no reason in the coding for it to not let me. Dreamweaver has wonderful tutorials, but I could not find this problem in their lesson base. If anyone comes up with a solution for future references, I would be tickled to hear about them. Thanks! 3. Yes.. after I sent that message I realized I had misunderstood the question... sorry about that. I use FrontPage 2003 and Expression Web and both have the capability of CSS ... but I don't like the CSS so I don't do that ... just a personal choice. I guess it is all in what one gets use to. 3. If Dreamweaver allows the use of CSS, you can specify different link colors, otherwise, the links are limited to what is in the <BODY> tag. 3. Keep in mind that it may be they don't have a good soundex or search logic. When I can't find someone, I search for someone else in the household and typically find them and the associated family member. As I said, I have viewed several census images with my free account without any problems. Their web server performance seems to be suffering from overuse, though. I've had my search timed out often. I do like their person page feature, but it needs work. I still prefer the ancestry.com search engine and people finder, though I am having to pay for the data. I suspect you may have hit a glitch in the system because touting free access and then not giving it is not something remotely resembling their usual business philosophy as I understand it. I have written them a note letting them know that their site is asking for $ when the census is advertised for free for the month and saying "SHAME ON YOU" if that is their intent. It may be that they have not fully indexed the census yet...you used to be able to see how far along they were in the process...but they've changed their layout. I'll need to go dig and see if I can locate the information on the completeness of the index. I'm due to renew my subscription and am waiting to see what they have to say. Suzie TXFannin
