    3. CONGRATULATIONS! Margaret, on both the COM award and in the Hall of Fame award. I have profited from information on your Medina County in my genealogy research. Thanks for your good work. Congratulations to the Honorable Mentions! Congratulations to the County Coordinator, Margaret Meyer Simpson. Due to the site winning its third award, Medina is now in the TXGenWeb Hall of Fame. Some of the many items of interest on the site are Early Immigrants, Texas Union Soldier Schedule - 1890, Historical Sites, Castro Colonist's Land Grants, and Photos. Please drop by and visit with Margaret and the friendly folks of Medina County here: http://www.txgenweb3.org/txmedina/ . Honorable Mention counties for August are Bastrop, Delta, Jackson, Starr, and Young. A big round of applause to those CC's as well. Kind Regards, Peggy T. 3. Thanks Carla for the reply. I am creating a page using one of the template designs. I'll go with that for now. The page will reside on TXGenWeb.org. Just putting the final touches on the site. Also, it's getting close to midnight so I may have to finish tomorrow. I'm working on it! From: Carla Clifton [mailto:csclifton@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, August 31, 2009 10:35 AM To: 'Kim L. Mathis' Subject: RE: Swisher County Hi Kim, The good thing to know is, Swisher county is now "your baby". You can do whatever you want. You don't have to make it look like anyone else's page. We have requirements about what content needs to be there only, not the manner in which you display it. Most people are moving their pages away from Rootsweb because it is now owned by Ancestry.com. Many of us don't like the idea that our hard work my be incorporating into what subscribers to Ancestry.com might be paying for. I am not saying they do that, we just don't want to risk it. Your site should be set up with free space from TXGenWeb.org (ask Shirley for the URL and information). You can use whatever template you want. The main thing is getting the content up there and having fun with it! J Let me know if you need anything. Carla _____ From: Kim L.
