Bertha Ellen << My gg grandfather was named Barney or William Barney FINCH. His son was David A. FINCH b.15 Oct 1870 in MS. Family tradition says that after David was born Barney recieved a telegram from Galveston, TX that his father had died, and he went to TX to settle his father's estate, and never came back. His wife in MS would never talk about him except tho say that he was a US Marshal. Any help finding what happened to this elusive ancestor would be greatly appreciated. >>
