Galveston County, Texas, Queries A new message, "Chenoweth-Hinton of Galveston, TX," was posted by Jan (Wilson) Ramos on Thu, 27 May 1999 It is a response to "chenoweth," posted by Tommie Woods sr on Thu, 27 May 1999 --- NAME: Jan (Wilson) Ramos EMAIL: Ramosgang@worldnet.att.net SURNAMES: Hinton, Chenoweth DATE: May 27 1999 Thanks for replying, Tommie! I e-mailed you directly, but thought I'd post it here, too. I wrote to Albert Jr. almost 2 yrs. ago, but received no reply. Some folks just aren't interested in genealogy. Do you think your sister would be willing to correspond with me about her in-laws? I'd really like to learn more about Albert's mother, Mary or Molly (Hinton) Chenoweth. She was my grandfather's sister. We'd looked for her for years the old fashioned way, then when I went on-line 2 years ago I found her on the huge Chenoweth genealogy web site within my first 30 minutes on the web. The web master gave me Albert Jr.'s address. Per the Chenoweth researchers, she died in Galveston, but I don't know when. I'd love to know more about her life & death, her family, etc. There were 8 children in the Hinton family. We've accounted for all, but one, but would like to fill in a few blanks about Molly. If you think Rose wouldn't mind corresponding, I'll send you my snail mail address (unless she has e-mail, too). My mother (who lives in Florida) & Rose's husband were 1st cousins. What a strange way to meet. I'm so used to knowing all my 1st cousins! Thank you so much for replying. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Jan (Wilson) Ramos granddaughter of Claud Hinton, brother of Molly(Hinton) Chenoweth P.S. My web site has the Hinton lineage and related branches and photos back to my gg-grandparents. Your nephews may be interested in this heritage. 2 of their Hinton ancestors were Civil War veterans. Lots of other info available. Happy to share it with them.
