One of my Eberling's, Amelia Eberling was born in Columbia Texas, and moved to Galveston in 1886. According to the 1886-1887 Galveston City Directory she was working for, and residing with, the family of Dr. J. Lewis Large, who was a physician and also owned a drug store in Galveston. No addresses for Dr. Large were obtained by me, although I am sure that the 1886-89 Galveston City Directory has his address'. The following City Directory (1888-1889) also showed Dr. Lewis Large as residing and working in Galveston. Since my Amelia had moved back to her family around 1888, who by then had also moved to Galveston, I did not give a second thought to Dr. Large. Unfortunately, I did not get any additional information on Dr. Lewis Large. However, there was not mention of his wives name, or any of his families names. The Rosenburg Library in Galveston has these City Directories on Microfiche. Bill Sanders Spring, Texas bsand@texas.net
