Please email me if any if you have any info regarding these individuals or would like more details. Thanks. Kim Gunder Andreason (1839-1905) m. Francesca Oberg (d. 1912) Gunder came to the US in 1860, from Arendal, Norway; living first in New Orleans and then moving to Galveston in 1881. It is thought that Gunder had a brother who came with him to the US, by the name of John. Gunder's Children: John Frank, George, William, Charles A., and Isabella (m. Fred Frichter) I only know of descendants of John Frank. They are: John and Jassamine (both died in infancy)and John Gunder (1894-1952)m. Jennie Isbel Schmidt Children: Adele (1914-1965); John (b. ca. 1917, d. ca. 1989); Mary Jane (b. ca. 1920+; d. ca. 1988) Adele is my paternal grandmother with her son, John Wayne Combs (02/02/40-07/28/93), being my father. John's twin brother, James Harold, was a Galveston Firefighter and died in the line of duty in June 1986. John Frank's other children were: Fred (1904-1959) Andrew James (1899-1982)(m. Charlotte Aurelia) Hetty (m. John Sorenson) Walter T. (1910-1995)(m. Lillian Zorn) Morris Knollman (1917-1981) (m. Gertrude Cecile "Mickey" Garland) John Frank, along with his son, John Gunder, and a partner by the name of Juneman, owned a sailmaking business in the 20s for a short time. Otherwise, they were employed by E.R. Henck for much of the time. I do have a little more info on Gunder and more descendants (3 more generations). Please reply to the mailing list.
