Franz, his parents and at least one brother, Paul age 3, landed in Galveston, TX on October 15, 1867 when Franz was 12. He had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Anna (or Annie) and Elizabeth probably never married and at least one may have been a Catholic nun in San Antonio, TX. One other sister's married name may have been Bosch and the other's may have been Dearski. The brothers were Joe, August and Paul. Paul was not considered a member of the family after he married Meta Geradine Bargmann, a Lutheran, on October 25, 1887. He moved to Westhoff, TX and lived there for the rest of his life. Paul had 9 children, Paul, Jr., Norman, Edmund, Willie (Wm.), Otto, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Ida, Isabel and Emma (died at age 15). This rift in the family lasted many decades. I'm interested in finding out if any genealogical research has been done by any descendants who may have had access to family documents. Franz married Theresia Richter on Jan. 5, 1886. When he died, Franz was survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons. They were John Seidel, Franz Seidel, Mrs. August Czichos, Mrs. Mugrauer, Mrs. Frank Markp, and Mrs. August Eilert. They all lived near Moulton at that time. Another son had died at age 5. His brother Joe had at least one daugher whose married name was probably Pohler. His brother August probably married Yohanna (Johanna?) Bargmann. August died only a few days after his youngest daughter was born.
