Pilkington EMAIL: BettyHP@AOL.com DATE: Jan 13 2000 Recently found obit for ggrandfather John Robert Teeter and learned he was born in Galveston, TX 1 Mar 1855. His parents were Francis or James (or combination of both names) and his mother was Louisa Schooling. Louisa Teeter was found on Chariton Co. MO 1860 census with John Robert, Mary Lucinda, and George W. George W. was 9 mo. old so the father had to have died within the 18 months before his birth. Have found no record of death of husband of Louisa in MO and wonder if he died in TX. Are there any records available for Texas for deaths in 1859 or early 1860 before census? Any other records I might check?? Thanks. Betty
