She was born in Fairfield. Her father's name was Henry Canady, and her mother's name was Violet. My grandmother left when she was 18, or 19 to Lubbock, and married Freddie Hunter. She past away in 2001, 2002. My grandfather in 1989. I can't obtain a birthcertifcate for my grandmother now to prove she was born in Fairfield or gain any other information. I'd like to know if anyone knows of Henry and Violet Canady. Where they might have lived, other children, where they were buried. I know they have a son named Charles, and another daughter.

Look in the Social Security death index. I found one there that died in Lubbock. I think you can still order the original application card--and that does have some info. I know the Texas legislature is trying to prevent identity theft but they made it very difficult to get information for legitimate purposes.
