Posted on: Freestone County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Freestone/572 Surname: Keys, Wilburn, Goulding, Wilson, Hardy ------------------------- Small World! I, too, have stayed in that house of Ona Colgin and Robert Keys. Robert was a grandson of Thomas Keys and Martha Ann Wilburn, and so was my grandfather, Joe Keys. Joe lived just a few blocks away from Bob and "Cousin Ona," as everyone called her, and many a night I fell asleep at their house while the grownups played "Forty-Two." In 1976 my parents returned to Teague and bought the house across 4th Avenue, that used to be the Wilson house (my parents' name is Wilson, too, but no relation). Then my aunt bought what used to be Cousin Ona and Bob Keys house, and she lived there from 1982 until last year. So my family and I have spent many, many nights in that house. My father died and mother moved to Beckville to be near my brother, and last year my aunt sold the house and moved there too. I think my aunt may have a picture of Ona in her collection; I'll check when I go back up there. So nice to meet you. I plan to go back to Cotton Gin Cem. and will try to find Lillian's headstone and photograph it. If you are interested in the Freestone County Keys line, I will be happy to send what information I have. I have Martha Ann Wilburn's line back to Germany in the 1600s but haven't been able to take the Keys line further back than Thomas's Grandfather. Good luck in your search. Helen Dearing
