Posted on: Freestone County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Freestone/561 Surname: Owens ------------------------- Martin Owens was born in 1815 in Cannon Co. TN., married 1st wife, Zina Hollinsworth in 1836, in Wilson Co, TN and then had 10 kids. After Zina died Martin married again. I think her name was Elizabeth Spaulding (not 100% sure) They had 5 kids. They were on the 1870 Freestone Co. census and on the 1880 census Martin was living with his son-in-law, Simon White Wills in Cotton Gin. In 1852, Martin and 1st wife lived in Polk Co., Missouri and Zina may have died there. Martin is probably buried in Antioch Cem as they lived near there. I have birth dates and marriage dates of the kids from second marriage, but do not have any death dates. I would be glad to have those. Peggy
In which Antioch Cemetery do you supposed they are buried? There are three Antioch cemeteries in Freestone County. One north of Teague, one at Luna and one at Turlington. There are two "unmarked" graves in Antioch at Luna that were designated by John Calvin Knight as "Mr. and Mrs. Owens."
