March 6, 1925 > > NATIVE OF FREESTONE DIES IN WACO > Mr. T. E. Johnson Sr. who was born at the Rock House six miles northwest of Fairfield, 72 years ago and father of Dr. Joseph E. Johnson of this city died in Waco last Saturday night. The following notice is taken from a Waco paper: T. E. Johnson Sr., for 33 years, a resident of Waco died at a local sanatorium last night after two weeks serious illness following ill health of the last two years. Funeral services are to be held this Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residents 2208 Cleavland by Rev. George W. Spies, Pastor of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born at Fairfield, Freestone County October 4 1852 where he grew to manhood and engaged in stock farming until 1892 when he moved to Waco where he since resided. He was a succesful stock man here until ill health over took him and was well known. > He was married to Minnie B. Milner of Freestone County in 1880. His widow and the following seven sons who survive him: Dr. Joseph E. Johnson of Fairfield, E.A. and Roy B. Johnson of Waco, Fred N. and W. P. Johnson of Dallas, T.
