Info on Mills from Freestone County History Books: Vol. I, p. 631: Robert Regan Whitaker/Whittaker married Sara Mills. Vol II, p. 373: James M. Mills was born in GA to Moses & Anne Mills. Siblings: Anne, Soloman, William, John, Seaborn, Harvy, Jeremiah. Moses & family moved to Montgomery & Pike Co., AL. Seaborn Mills was massacred with Fannin at Goliad. Moses received land in TX as Seaborn's heir. Moses assigned the land to James M. Mills. James M. Mills (1815-1890) m. Caroline Riley (1821-189?) in Montgomery Co., AL in 1834. In 1844 they moved to AR. In 1850 they moved to TX. They had 13-15 children but only the names of 11 are known: Mary A. m. Moses Anglin, J. W. Saltern, Gorman; Lucinda J. m. Joshua Tacker; James Lafayette "Dock" m. Louisiana M. Ferguson; Sarah C. m. Robert R. Whitaker & William M. Brown; Thomas Hough m. Tana Ann Bishop; Adeline Elizabeth m.
