The Teague Chronicle Sep. 21, 1917 Death of Butler Webb Butler Webb, one of the older residents in Freestone County, died in his home in the Luna community Mon. morning at 12:40 oclock. The illness preceding death lasted about a year and the imminent cause of death was said by physicians to have been uremi He was about 69 years of age. He is survived by a wife and several children as follows: M.A. and H.E. Webb of Teague, De Webb of Dallas, and Claude and Lee who live at home, Mrs. Julius Carroll of Dallas, Mrs. Clint Knight of Teague, Rt. 2, one sister, Mrs. Mary Waters of Wilmer, Tx. Butler Webb was one of the best men in Freestone County and was very instrumental in developing the county in a early day. He was well known and had numerous friends in all parts of the county. Funeral services were held at the Antioch Cemetery near Luna Monday afternoon. Being in charge of Teague Lodge No. 739 A.F. & A. & M. of which deceased was a member. Elder J.W. Hamilton of Teague. conducted the religious ceremony.
