    3. As you all know, I have been going to the Fairfield Recorder and transcribing the obits to put on the Freestone County Genweb page. Well yesterday I went and spent two hours just a reading my little tail off and got nearly 9o minutes worth of tape done when my sister-in-klaw (who by the way works there) came in to do some coping for me and I stopped the tape. When I went back to rewind the tape to see where I had left off there was no obits. I kept rewinding and still nothing. I decided that I would just come home and cry, so I did. I could not believe I had done all that talking and nothing. I hade gotten all the way up to April 1926. Any how to make a long story short, if you plan on doing some recording MAKE sure the darn thing is recording. I will be back up there today trying my voice at it again. Hopefully I will be putting some new Obits on the web page by tomorrow. Every one keep your fingers crossed. I did the same thing! Only I ran out of tape and didn't know it! Keep up the good work! Ann

    3. Cathrine, I hurt for you. You have, so unselfishly, spent much time and put forth so much effort in transcribing information that is contained in these old obituaries - not for yourself - but for others. I applaud you! You and Ann Farnsworth are to be commended for what you have done for the people who live in other locations and cannot do this research for themselves. Thanks to both of you!
